The retirement of our Founder Joe Lurie and long-term Executive Director Mary Anne Moffa, along with the slow recovery from a global pandemic, presented our Board of Directors with unique challenges. Thanks to the diligent financial management of our founding team, our reserve funds have been more than ample to weather short-term economic impacts while investing in the organization’s long-term sustainability. The Board’s strategic investments—from new staff, to expanded programs, to a brand relaunch—have positioned the Peggy Browning Fund for big leaps forward in 2023 and beyond. 24
