This is the 2025 fellowship description for this mentor organization. 

Solidarity Law is a labor and employment law firm dedicated to representing workers in northern New England. The firm represents most of organized labor in Maine and some unions in New Hampshire. Clients represent utility workers; blue collar factory workers; building trades workers; professional employees; and public sector workers. Solidarity Law also has an active civil rights practice (Jeff Young is a board member of the National Employment Lawyers Association) representing victims of discrimination and wage theft in individual cases and class actions.

Applicants should have taken labor law and/or employment discrimination or had relevant experience, such as work as a labor organizer. Work may include legal research, writing, and preparation for labor arbitrations and hearings in state and federal court and before administrative agencies such as the National and Maine Labor Relations Boards  and the Maine Human Rights Commission; client intake; participation in mediations; and case analysis. Applicant should plan to work in Maine for the summer.
 

The total ten-week stipend for this fellowship will be $7,000, and fellows should expect to work 40-hours per week.
