Gorlick, Kravitz & Listhaus, P.C. is a union-side Labor and ERISA law firm with an opening for an experienced ERISA attorney in our Funds Counsel practice. Our work is enjoyable, sophisticated and professionally satisfying.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Advise Taft-Hartley multi-employer plans with respect to ERISA compliant administration of benefit programs; clients include Defined Benefit (Pension), Defined Contribution (401(k) & profit sharing), Welfare, and other benefit plans.
  • Advise re plan design and draft ERISA compliant plan documents, policies and notices.
  • Review vendor contracts; manage RFP’s, cyber-breach response, and other projects.
  • Review of applicable laws and new developments affecting multiemployer plans.
  • Liaise with Fund Administrators and staff; review of benefit applications; participant communications; QDRO’s, QMSCO’s; other benefits administration issues as requested.
  • Preparation for meetings of the Boards of Trustees.
  • Support labor and employment, litigation, and other areas of practice if requested.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of ERISA experience;
  • Experience with Taft-Hartley multi-employer plans strongly preferred;
  • Strong client management skills;
  • Strong project management skills;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written);
  • Ability to work as a team to deliver excellent work product to client;
  • Strong research and drafting skills.

Job Type: Full-time in-office (Financial District in New York City)

Pay: $190,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
