Gorlick, Kravitz & Listhaus, P.C. is seeking a highly motivated junior attorney to join our ERISA and union-side Labor Law practice. We are an established and expanding law firm with a strong presence in the labor movement. Our work is enjoyable, sophisticated and professionally satisfying.

 

Responsibilities:


•    Research and draft memoranda about various ERISA and Labor issues in support of contract negotiations, regulatory compliance and litigation.
•    Advise Taft-Hartley multi-employer plans with respect to ERISA compliant administration of benefit programs and plan design.
•    Draft ERISA compliant benefit plan documents, policies and notices.
•    Attend meetings of Boards of Trustees to take minutes.
•    Support ERISA litigation, NLRB proceedings, arbitrations and grievances on behalf of clients, including drafting notices, pleadings and motions, reviewing discovery and drafting discovery responses.
•    Support corporate and employment law advice and other areas of practice as requested.

Qualifications:


•    0-3 years of experience;
•    admission to the New York bar;
•    background or demonstrated interest in ERISA and/or Labor law;
•    strong research and writing skills;
•    strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written);
•    a positive attitude and enthusiasm;
•    a high level of attention to organization and detail; and
•    strong work ethic, reliability and good judgment.
